Spam - Spam - Spam -- When will it stop!

Well maybe not ever, but we've just taken a big step to reduce it! We are now using a sendmail "milter". Essentially it is a triple check filter that makes sure email is coming from a valid mail server. A considerably high percent of spam is coming from hijacked PC's and servers. When spam is sent this way, it fails the test and rejected. We have already seen a decrease upwards of 90% less spam - hooray!
