On 11/2/07 we had a server crash. It started with what appeared to be a simple network error in the data center, however when the server was rebooted it was discovered that there was a problem with the boot GRUB of the hard drive. Meaning the server would not boot up on it's own. This is a sign of the hard drive beginning to fail.
We took immediate steps to plan for a hard drive replacement. This was a good time to upgrade the server as well. WebWizard Works, main hosting server is now a Pentium "D" (Dual Core), 3.0 GHz processor with 2 GB's of RAM. |
